I’m a Real Writer Now!
Now I am querying agents and it’s not a fun process.
I personally think everyone is strange in their own right but many go to great lengths to hide it well. Writers do the opposite and proudly wear their weird on their sleeve.
To prove that I’m not just sitting on my laurels, I thought that it could be helpful to show everyone just what it’s like to write with a house full of half-crazed short creatures.
No matter how it turns out, as I look back to June of 2016 when I first sat down at my laptop and started typing away, it really is mind boggling where I’m at now. I never thought I’d get be able finish writing a novel, much less move it forward to where it sits today.
But what if there was another option? What if you didn’t have to read unrealistic Christian characters being written by non-believers or the same rehash of the same themes billed as Christian fiction?
Some people have asked me why I started writing. What possessed a stay at home dad, who hadn’t written a piece of fiction since his eighth-grade creative writing class to just write a novel one day? Looking back, it was a long time coming. I had ideas for what would become my book series for years. Ideas that, while drastically different from the finished product, had at least something in common.
